Cultivated at elevations between 1850 and 1880 meters, Idido coffee benefits from the perfect growing conditions that the region's climate offers.

During the harvest season from October to January, the heirloom Ethiopian varieties are naturally processed, emphasizing the beans' inherent flavors. The cherries are meticulously sorted, washed, and sun-dried on raised beds, a process that can span 8–25 days depending on the climatic conditions, ensuring each bean reaches its peak flavor.

Post-2017 reforms in Ethiopia have enhanced the coffee's traceability, allowing for direct export and fostering closer relationships between farmers and buyers. This change has led to improved sustainability and recognition of high-quality coffees like Idido.
